it’s going to be hanabi tonight with the hubby. because he so deserves a good food retreat for working so hard, so well. tomorrow, it’s merchant court high tea on a nice friday arvo by the river, followed by mid-autumn dinner with the folks, where home-cooked cantonese cuisine is aplenty. come saturday, the good goblins are walking down haji lane, and a good goblins gathering is never complete without foodie goodie. last week was indian food at gayathri with the ones at work after pretty munchies on white doilies at fosters tea. the last time i ate this much was at rayavadee. morning coffee was latte served with a cinnamon stick and lovely brown sugar ball. afternoon tea was assorted sandwiches cut out in petite rectangles, freshly baked cookies and warm fruit cake on a white platter. there, i tasted the best chocolate eclairs ever. the hubby sheepishly asked for one more because the wifey couldnt stop licking the smears off the ends of her fingers. the lovely service staff smiled, went into the kitchen, came out with four. i ate them all. downed with a fresh glass of iced coffee after slurping down my iced tea. we say we’ll exercise the food off. so the hubby goes to the gym regularly. the wifey hangs up the laundry.
