(“Latte, Latte”, she says to me. It’s a biscuit in the shape of a dog.)
The missy has always been a dream to be out with. Even more so these days. We go a-walking about town in our pumps. She weaves in and out the swirly hems of long dresses. We go up and down the slides. She squeals in delight. We go lounging in the coffee joints. She says ‘NOOO’ to my cuppa because I once told her with a scrounged-up face that babies can’t drink coffee. We sit in the soft sunshine, loving the warmth the morning brings. She doodles with her Crayola markers, then whines that her hands are dirty. I wet-wipe them, and she goes about making them dirty again. I pack ourselves lunchboxes, we eat with our sporks, and we laugh at each other with Calrose rice grains on our faces. I take pictures of her, she smiles her camera-scowl, and we laugh again.
With mommy-tinted glasses, this is as perfect as it can get.

Hey Yuling, Missy Raeann is becoming even more of a little lady!! She seems to be having such a great time with you ALL THE TIME – you’re really supermommy, you know?! Half the time, I’m tearing my hair out and hoping that someone will come save me from having to entertain the little one by myself!! Lovely lovely post as always, and I especially love the closing line. So heartwarming.
I just don’t blog much about my hair pulled out! There are many lows too for us too. I wish I could take the credit of being a supermommy, but without her sweet nature, family support, my husband keeping me grounded, I’ll be all bald from the tresses pulling. Couldn’t have done it alone!!
Oh I so love the sun shining on her lovely face!
Looks like you girls are haveing a gala time out there. And she’s so cute to remember and recognize Latte even when she is eating.
Such a nice post dear.
She likes to point out dogs and call them Latte. And yes, even I was amused when she recognized the biscuit as a dog! Too funny!
u r a wonderful writer, and all these post Missy gonna love them much next time..all these wonderful posts dedicated to her. =)
